Full Circle Counselling

Heather has skills and training supporting youth, families, and community in mental health wellness.  Her areas of speciality and areas of additional training include neurodiversity including autism, ADHD and FASD, trauma, conflict resolution including training in mediation skills, couple counselling using an emotion focused therapy lens, and significant experience and work with families. 

Heather primarily works from an integrated and humanistic lens, incorporating elements from Narrative therapy, existential theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy and attachment based therapy, AEDP, CBT and DBT models into her practice.  Heather also has specific trauma training to support front-line workers including OEI and EMDR.

Relationship is a significant part of Heather's work including our relationship with self, family, and community into the greater understanding of our individual needs and self-concept. 

Heather has space in her practice for new clients, she has a private practice office on Willingdon Avenue in Powell River where she meets clients in-person. She also uses online and virtual services to connect with clients across BC.  Heather also works as a contractor for the Neurodiversity Family Centre in Victoria, BC.  She is accredited to work with 3rd party benefit providers as well as private-pay clients.
