Adult Day Program

Adult Day Program (ADP) provides a range of programs for clients, including social stimulation, health promotion and therapeutic recreational activities. These programs are provided in the context of support group settings. Reasons for clients to attend are:

• waiting for residential care placement
• health status monitoring
• medication support and monitoring
• targeted therapeutic activities
• access to health education
• caregiver respite

The program operates three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Costs involved is $7.00 to cover a hot meal, nutritional snack and the program offered. A sampling of programs to look forward to:

• fitness program
• Bingo, cards and board games
• gardening
• music and entertainment
• parties and teas
• reminiscing and discussion groups
• pet visits
• active games, i.e. shuffleboard
