Powell River Food Security Project

The Food Security Project (FSP) works to strengthen the capacity of the regional food system and increase food security for community members. Activities include:
- providing information on food security issues and events (including via a monthly e-newsletter)
- providing opportunities for people to develop food-related knowledge and skills
- working with schools to develop edible gardens and food-related education programs
- collaborating with local government, organizations and community members to develop food security action plans and policies
